Our Story
McKimmey Electric, Inc. was established in 1994 by Rodney McKimmey in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rodney recognized a need for an electrical contractor to provide superior service, added value, and cost effective practices. As our company has grown, we have gained experience in a variety of states, and retain a qualified staff and crew of over 50 people.
After almost 20 years in Las Vegas, we moved north to Reno and have settled at the base of the Sierras. Post- recession opportunities in the Bay Area and a love for Northern Nevada solidified our relocation. We expect continued growth in Northern Nevada and California, while maintaining our integrity that is so important to our company.
We are proud that McKimmey Electric, Inc. has developed into a dynamic company; while also keeping our founding principles of honesty, quality, and loyalty intact. These efforts and top-down passion have translated into trusted relationships and, many repeat clients over the past three decades.

McKimmey Electric, Inc. is a Licensed Electrical Contracting Business. Our goal is to provide quality, service oriented, and cost effective service to our customers. We focus primarily on electrical for all sizes of commercial projects, with a specialization in large-scale multi-family projects.
The competent and aggressive leadership of McKimmey Electric, Inc. has more than eighty years of combined experience, allowing for creative and efficient problem solving. We are staffed to quickly handle all your needs from estimating to design-build. We have CAD drafting systems and an expert in-house designer.
Our repeat business with many builders is a reflection of our good standing in the local construction community. We have successfully completed over 800 contracted projects since the establishment of McKimmey Electric, Inc., while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship of our work.
